A Japanese-built car can come in duty-free under the UK–Japan trade agreement, but only with this paperwork from the exporter. We assume you haven't got it until you tell us otherwise, so the estimate errs high rather than low.
Over 30 years and unmodified, a car is treated as historic — no import duty and VAT drops to 5%. On a £20,000 car that is roughly £5,000 back in your pocket.

How this started
Sammy's Imports began the way most good things in this trade do — one car, bought for himself, and a lot of learning the hard way about paperwork, shipping agents and what a container actually costs.
What sets us apart is being on the ground in Thailand rather than working the phone from a UK office. That means access to cars that never reach a listing site, and an honest answer about condition because someone has physically stood next to it.
